![]() It implies that there is nothing enjoyable at all on said album. It implies an album is so terrible on all levels that there is no semblance of anything good or worthwhile to be found. Giving an album a zero percent implies a few things. But it's certainly not painful to listen to. Yes, it is indifferent, it's not special, it's average, it's dull, it's repetitive, dry, whatever. ![]() There are a LOT of albums that are straight up painful to listen to, and this isn't one of them. It really isn't, it is even enjoyable at times. The reason for that is that really, if you take away the ridiculousness and the stupidity, the music itself isn't hard to listen to, or isn't torturing. Not only is it far from being the worst in this century, but in the past one as well. But if you don't take life too seriously, and able to take this as a joke, then you'll probably be alright, and admit that this album, in reality is far from being the most poisonous creations of the genre. If you are trying to listen to this as an actual thrash album, a work of art, you'll hate it, and you'll probably find yourself submitting another 0% review here on The Archives about this. So what is this record overall? It really depends on your perspective. "You will respect, it's his demand, or he'll watch you die through the hole in his hand!" On the song "Zombie Assault", the lyrics get pretty hilarious, but my absolute favorite when it comes to the lyrics is "Moshpit Messiah". On the positive side, you can tell the guys at least have a sense of humor at times. Still, even though this album if just a joke, those spoken word sections are unbelievably awkward and sweat-odored to listen to. Nobody shouts "I AM THE THRASH LORD, AND I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" for real. This is where it's really noticeable that these guys aren't for real. Let's also mention the vocals and the lyrics. This makes the album just alright, you can headbang along occasionally for ONE listen, but it really is nothing more. The guitar work is extremely generic, lacks flavor, the percussion is ultra-monotonous, so there aren't a lot of things to admire. That is it, for the album's entire length. Speed, shouted barking vocals, some basic drum beat on a relatively fast pace, and some chromatic madness that we, fans of thrash metal call soloing. This album really doesn't, but the most basic elements of thrash metal on a very low-grade, ape-like level. True, the band is playing tried and true thrash metal, but that's only going to be enough for an average score, if there isn't anything else they have to offer. There isn't a lot of variety, and a lot of the riffs sound alike. While there are some parts that thrash hard, like the main riff of "Zombie Assault", or "The Return of The Thrash Lord"'s middle-section, this record is very dull. This is just a satire.Ībout the music itself. There is no way in hell they were serious about actually making this a serious, actual thrash record. I can't help but to take this album, and band altogether as a joke. ![]() Their imagery and lyrics are some of the most cringeworthy, most awkward visual/audial drops of sheer stupidity. It is easy to see what's the reason, just look at their obnoxious, hyper-stereotypical album cover, with that dumb ass calculator-font, making up the title none other than POSER HOLOCAUST. Thrash or Die are infamous for receiving one of the lowest average scores here on The Archives, and they are one of the most hated and despised thrash bands of all time.
